About us

Our Story

NWTT - Community Health Shuttle

The North Waikato Transport group was set up in 2012 in response to a growing concern about the lack of transport options to meet residents' essential transport needs in the North Waikato Communities.  At the end of 2014, they became North Waikato Transport Trust.

We have 2 Vehicles to service the North Waikato Towns of Huntly, Taupiri, Ngaruawahia and the small surrounding towns.

We go to any Medical appointment either local or in Hamilton. We often find we go to places such as eye clinics, Tui medical clinics, radiology clinics and also the hospital.

We also have a shopping service in Huntly only, to go to Countdown or fruit shops in town. This service only runs one day a week on a Wednesday. You need to be referred to us by a Health professional only.

Funders and Fundraising

Our service solely relies on the goodwill of philanthropists, government grants, and fundraising.

Thank you so much for the grants that we have received, and grateful to have generous members of the community who will give their time to support us, by, coming to our fundraising events or helping to organize the fundraising events. Please see below
